Accessibility Statement
This is an accessibility statement from Fit Culture Pilates.
Fit Culture Pilates wants everyone to be able to use this website, whatever technology they browse with. This page says what we aim for, how we check it, and what to do if something does not work for you.
Measures to support accessibility
We build and test this site against WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the international standard for web accessibility. We aim to meet it throughout, but we do not claim the site is perfect — conformance is measured page by page, and content changes over time.
Conformance status
- Automated checks against every page, run as part of each release
- A keyboard pass by hand on one page of each type — every control reachable, focus visible, nothing trapped
- Text scaled to 200% and 400%, and a 320 pixel-wide screen
- A screen reader pass using VoiceOver and NVDA
- Colour contrast checked at the design-token level, so it holds across the site
Known limitations
- The booking and reviews widgets are supplied by Momence and rendered by their code, which we cannot edit. Two controls in the chat widget have no name that a screen reader can announce, and its "Powered by" line is very low contrast. We have styled what their theming allows — typeface, colours and the contrast of every colour we control — and we have reported the rest to them.
- The class schedule can take a long time to appear when Momence is slow to respond, and it gives no visible progress while it loads. If you are waiting on an empty area, the same schedule is available directly at momence.com.
- The white lettering on our coral buttons does not meet the contrast level we are aiming for. We have measured it at 2.56:1 where the standard asks for 4.5:1. Every button still works with a keyboard and with a screen reader, and the same actions are available from the links beside them, but the lettering is harder to read than it should be in bright light. This is a design decision we are reviewing.
- On pages with a photograph behind the heading, the smaller line of text under the heading measures 3.78:1 against the brightest parts of the photograph, where the standard asks for 4.5:1. The heading itself is fine. No information appears only in that line — it introduces what is already on the page.
